1. Can an IC5008TAW0000 directly replace a 15-inch IC5005 panel?
It should not be treated as a direct mechanical replacement. The IC5008 requires a 428 × 358 mm panel cutout, while the IC5005 uses a smaller 376 × 299 mm cutout. Engineers must also check mounting depth, connector clearance, power consumption and the resolution used by the existing HMI project.
2. What installation space is required around the unit?
The documented mounting depth is 154 mm. At least 50 mm of ventilation clearance is required above and below the computer, with 30 mm at each side. A minimum of 132 mm must remain available to the left of the front panel so the CD-ROM drawer can open.
